Nebbiolo, Yarra Valley, VIC. Luke Lambert is getting a name as the 'Yarra Valley Nebbiolo Whisperer',

Destemmed, natural-yeast fermented and kept on skins for 18 days with frequent plunging and foot stomping. Matured in 500L French oak puncheons (20% new) and left unsulphured for 18 months.

A bright, medium, ruby red. There's lots going on here. Aromas of dark cherries, cherry and sandalwood, dried roses, orange peel and botanicals such as quinine and juniper. The palate is ripe and beautifully brought back into focus by the wine's refreshing acidity and grippy yet fine tannins. Finishes ferrous and long.
