Mains – Greek chicken and lemon rice (serves 2)
Greek chicken and lemon rice. Serves 2 people. (for 4 people = Quantity 2)
You might choose to accompany this with Aristotelis Ke Anthoula’s Retsini which is a natural wine, no additives at all with extended skin contact, infused with pine resin from the Greek Island of Aleppo. A homage to the traditional Greek wine, Retsina Of all the wines we carry it would have to be the perfect fit for this dish.
Type: Larger Dishes
Dietary Notes: GF, Contains Dairy, May contain traces of nuts
Availability: Order & Collect
Wine Pairing: Amber Wine: All saline and pine with whiffs of the Greek coastal breeze, Aristotelis Ke Anthoula’s Retsini would be our choice. Otherwise Gazetta, Bianco Susanna would be a wonderful choice from the hills above Lake Bolsena in Italy. We love everything Trish does and in a strange twist of fate, Tony, of Aristotelis and Trish are old mates from way back.
Wine Pairing: White Wine: A white with some acid present will be a lovely match to the chicken. We have a range of Rieslings. Our pick would be Pikes, from the Clare Valley. The 2018 with some bottle age presents notes which will sing alongside the yoghurt, the lemon and the chicken
